Blogger Collaboration: Glitterfingersss

We spoke with blogger Lexa (Glitterfingersss) about her fondness for pizza, and her soon-to-be-released Femme Fatale collaboration shades.

Lexa.JPGTell us a bit about yourself.

I live in Hungary, in a small town called Tiszafüred. I really enjoy reading books, and I’m a huge movie/series junky. My fave genres to read/watch are horror, thriller, drama, black humour and fantasy. I have a masters degree in agricultural economy, but lately I’m thinking about becoming a nail tech. I have two dogs, and I’m allergic to cat fur. My favorite food is pizza (I could eat pizza all day everyday), but I like everything spicy.

When did you first become interested in polish?

I have painted my nails since elementary school, but back then I bit my nails, they were super ugly. I stopped biting them when I was around 15 years old. I never did nail art, I just painted them in one color. I was about 20 years old when I discovered the world of freehand nail art and I’m hooked ever since.

femme fatale aquatic 01.jpgWhy did you decide to become a blogger?

It started out as a hobby, I had a lot of free time when I was attending college. I started to read other blogs and I thought: hey, I could do something similar. I never thought I will ever get a PR sample or will have the opportunity to create my own polishes.

What equipment do you use to photograph your swatches?

Nothing too high tech. I have a Canon EOS 600D with a 18-55mm lens, plus a magnifying lens. I use led lamps for indoor shots, but when I have time I use natural light as well.

femme fatale aurora borealis 01.jpgWhat is your favourite part of swatching/blogging?

I love the variety of finishes I can try out, and I like to share my thoughts with my followers. It’s so rewarding to get nice comments from my readers, they always warm my heart.

What is the hardest part of swatching/blogging?

I have a full time job, and it’s sometimes really hard to schedule everything: job, friends and blog, especially with seasonal releases, because a lot of brands schedule their launches basically the same week.

femme fatale color crush 06.jpgWhat type of polishes are your favourite to swatch?

I really like to swatch shimmers and flakie polishes, but I have a hard time capturing linear holos, because I don’t have a proper indoor light source for those.

What inspired your 3 collaboration shades?

I named my trio as “Things To Love” because basically that’s what they are. Aurora Borealis is something that always amazed me and it’s my dream to see it once. Aquatic was inspired by the deep ocean with glowing jelly fishes. The whole ocean/sea theme is really close to my heart, I wish I could live near the salty waves. Color Crush was inspired a color combination that I love for years: teal and copper.
